Exploring Shakti: Kali Durga
Oct. 5, Nov. 2, Dec. 14, Feb. 1 | $275 for all or $80 drop-in | Register
Encounter Kali Durga to harness the power of transformation.
In yogic philosophy, the many Gods and Goddesses in the Hindu pantheon represent different energies in the world, and in varying degrees, in ourselves. Learning the names and forms of these energies allows us to align and access different aspects of Kali Durga, or creative feminine power for self evolution and healing no matter our gender.
Durga: Protectress and Bestower of Blessings
Durga is said to be a being of light who confers grace and blessings. She is a warrior goddess who protects and builds inner strength to empower us to "fight the good fight" for discrimination, for truth, and for justice both within ourselves and our world. We can align with her shakti for physical, mental and emotional strength, for personal power and the fire of will and courage.
Kali: Fierce Face of the Creative Feminine
Kali is the dark goddess and is said to be the radical and fierce face of the creative feminine, or shakti. She represents our karma, our shadow, our ego and transformation. She is the yogic archetype of protection and restoration, righteous anger and even rage. She empowers us to feel all of this and direct it in healthy and proactive ways. We can align with her shakti for transformation, burning away old karma, purifying the subtle body, and awakening the kundalini energy.
ENCOUNTER KALI DURGA
This 4-month immersion is dedicated to the archetype of Kali Durga. We will explore the separate yogic goddesses Kali and Durga individually, as well as the perspective of them as one and the same.
THIS SESSION includes:
All are welcome, no experience needed, just an interest and openness to the sacred feminine.
